Hello, and thank you for visiting.
I’m a Certified and Registered Play Therapist, trained by Play Therapy International (https://playtherapy.org/). I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Counselling and I am currently studying a Masters in Psychology and Counselling. I have a background in education and a deep-rooted passion for supporting children’s emotional wellbeing.
I was born in the UK and spent my formative years in West Sussex, where I completed my Primary and Secondary education. I went on to earn a BA in Politics from the University of Essex, and worked for the Childhood Immunisation Department at the Department of Health from 2009 to 2011. During this time, I realised my true passion lay in working with children, supporting their wellbeing and helping them to succeed, which led me to retrain as a primary teacher. After seven years teaching in the UK, I embraced the opportunity to work internationally. I spent four wonderful years at Shrewsbury International School in Bangkok, and I am now working at Bangkok Prep International School as a Teacher and Play Therapist.
Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve seen the incredible power of play in helping children learn, grow, and express themselves and this inspired me to deepen my practice through therapeutic training. My model of Play Therapy is child-led, integrative and holistic, with a central belief that every child is unique and capable of growth when provided with a safe, accepting, and attuned therapeutic relationship.
At the heart of my practice is a child-centred philosophy. I believe that children are the experts in their own experiences and that therapy is most effective when it follows the their lead. By offering unconditional positive support, empathy and a non-directive environment, I create a space where children can express themselves through play at their own pace. This empowers them to explore and process emotions, resolve internal conflicts, and build resilience.
